Deewan Singh Manjhi and Hemlata Devi from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, were overjoyed when their firstborn, a son named Anshul, came into their lives. However, this joy quickly turned to sorrow when, fifteen days later, Anshul developed gangrene in his right leg due to the side effects of medication. The situation necessitated the amputation of his leg, causing immense distress to the family.
One day, a friend informed them about the Free Artificial Limb Distribution and service projects of Narayan Seva Sansthan in Udaipur. Without wasting any time, Anshul’s parents brought him to the Sansthan. Here, doctors conducted a thorough examination, and then measured his leg, and within two days, Anshul was fitted with an artificial limb and taught to walk. Now, Anshul can stand on his feet, walk, and even play with other children. Witnessing their child walk independently brings immense happiness to his parents.
They express their gratitude, saying they never thought Anshul would be able to stand on his own, but the Sansthan has given him a new life. The family remains deeply thankful to the dedicated team at the Sansthan.
